Prices move with the market and were current when this page was last rebuilt. The product page carries the live figure.
Priced off the live market, not a printed list
Every gold coin on this page is priced from the spot market as it moves, plus a stated premium. Refresh the page in an hour and the number will have changed, because the metal did. That is the honest way to sell bullion and it is why there is no price list to go stale.
The premium over spot is the part that varies between dealers. Ours is set by the coin and the quantity, and it is visible before you commit — the product page breaks out what is metal value and what is premium.
What Atlanta buyers usually come in for
American Gold Eagles are the most-asked-for coin in the shop, and the one most IRA custodians accept without discussion. Maple Leafs run a slightly lower premium for the same ounce of gold at higher purity. Krugerrands are frequently the cheapest way into a full ounce.
Fractional gold — half, quarter and tenth ounce — carries a higher premium per ounce but lets you buy in smaller increments and sell in smaller increments later. Which of those matters more depends on why you are buying, and it is worth a conversation at the counter rather than a guess online.

Common questions
- Where can I buy gold coins in Atlanta?
- Alex Lexington at 3335 Chamblee Dunwoody Road, Chamblee, GA 30341 — inside I-285, about fifteen minutes from Buckhead. Monday to Friday, 10am to 4pm. We have sold gold in metro Atlanta since 1977.
- Which gold coin has the lowest premium over spot?
- Generally a Krugerrand or a Maple Leaf in one-ounce size, though it changes with supply. The current premium for each coin we stock is shown on its product page, so you can compare them directly rather than take our word for it.
- Are gold coins taxed in Georgia?
- Georgia exempts most investment-grade bullion from state sales tax. We apply the exemption where it applies at checkout. We are not tax advisors — how a purchase affects your own return is a question for yours.
- Do I need an appointment to buy?
- No. Walk in during business hours — Monday to Friday, 10am to 4pm — and we will take care of you. Calling (404) 815-8893 first only helps if you want something specific set aside.
- Can I pick up an online order in Atlanta instead of having it shipped?
- Yes. Select in-store pickup at checkout and the order is held at our Chamblee counter under your name. Bring photo ID matching the order.
- Is the price on this site the price I pay in the store?
- Yes. The prices here move with the live metals market and the counter quotes from the same feed, so what you see online is what you pay at the window.
