A counter, not a call centre

Alex Lexington has been in the metals business in metro Atlanta since 1977, run by the same family across three generations. You can walk in, look at what you are buying, ask why one coin costs more than another, and leave with it the same day.

That matters more than it sounds. Bullion bought online arrives in a box from a warehouse you will never see. Bullion bought over a counter is examined in front of you by someone who will still be at that counter when you come back to sell it.

All four metals, priced the same way

Gold, silver, platinum and palladium are all priced from the live market plus a stated premium. Platinum and palladium trade in much thinner markets than gold, so their spreads are wider and their availability moves around — but the pricing method is identical, and it is visible before you buy.

If you would rather not take it home

We run a segregated vault on site. Metal stored there is allocated to you specifically — not a claim against a pool — insured at declared value, and you can come and see it. It is the only retail-direct precious metals depository between South Florida and Maryland.

Buying and storing in one place removes the shipping leg entirely: the metal goes from the counter to the vault in the same building.

Our counter is at 3335 Chamblee Dunwoody Road in Chamblee, about fifteen minutes up Peachtree from Buckhead and just inside I-285. Monday to Friday, 10am to 4pm. There is no appointment required to buy, though calling ahead at (404) 815-8893 lets us have the pieces you want out and ready.
